I’ve spent the day baking and lounging, and will do the same tomorrow. Ari’s going to be at a bachelor’s party tonight so I’m going to have dinner with my friend Caitlin and spend time with my parents… it’ll be nice to relax with a mug of tea, a book, and a holiday movie or two.

As for the cookies… I do have a few that everyone loves, but they’re not the least labor-intensive! (Not that they’re incredibly difficult, but they do involve a little more effort than stir-spoon-bake.) I can send them to you, if you’re interested!

My question is about blogging in general. I’ve been reading food blogs for about a year now I want to start one of my own. I saw on fitnessista and mama pea’s blogs that there was hacker and every blog needs security. What are the things I need to know about starting up a blog?

Hmmmm. What has been the biggest surprise in your lifetime? Not as in what surprise did you get. As in the ww web, or computerized everything, or finding that you love the country even though you’re a city girl. that sort of reflective surprise.
It’s hard to beat the perfect batch of chocolate chip cookies. It’s also surprisingly hard to bake that perfect batch–not too crispy, not too chewy, just the right amount of chips, etc.

WELL, I for one, would like to know when you’re available for a re-scheduled (but nevertheless traditional/annual) day-after-Christmas day of ice skating (uhh, yea, redundant. but my brain is progressively deteriorating since GRADUATING so forgive me, darling). ALSO, did you know that this year, ice skating is synonymous with DIY-anything-day (found an awesome blog to help us along)? Also with thrift shopping, rolling around in the snow (if there’s any left and it’s not yellow), watching movies on your parents bed… or doing just about anything?
