And while I’m playing model, I got a pair of Reverse Groove Shorts for the month of Bikram I’m starting in April (more on that later) and the Run: Swiftly Tech LS shirt Lizzy recommended. I dropped a significant portion of my paycheck, but I wanted to treat myself.

Yesterday after my workout, I made a quick bowl of oatmeal. I’d planned on my favorite pumpkin/lemon curd/pumpkin butter oats, but sadly my pumpkin had gone funk. Bummer. But I made do.

- 1/2 cup oats cooked in 1/2 cup water
- 1 banana
- cinnamon
- stevia
- lemon curd
- pumpkin butter
- super chunky peanut butter
Had the usual apple + orange at work…

… and a monster salad for lunch. I haven’t consumed as many veggies as I’d have liked these past few days, but this guy more than made up for it!

- romaine
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper
- large carrot
- celery stalk
- 1/3 block tofu
- dried cranberries
- mix of raspberry vinaigrette & Goddess dressing
I also had a Blueberry Chobani while I ate my lunch outside. This weather is an instant mood-booster! Just five minutes outside in the sun is enough to give me a lift.

Later in the afternoon I had a Blueberry Coconut PranaBar. Holy coconut goodness!

After work (and my trip to Lululemon) I hustled over to Leslie’s (gorgeous) apartment for a pot-luck dinner party. I was the first to arrive (a rarity) but soon we were joined by Danielle, Sofia, Megan and Jenny. A night with six twentysomething food bloggers will (almost) always lead to three-buck Chuck, which, after a long week at work, will lead to loud proclamations about, well, food blogging! It was pretty fabulous.

In the true spirit of the pot-luck, we each brought our own dishes. We had quite the spread!

Leslie made asparagus with white bean pesto and roasted red peppers (as well as a scrumptious coconut-sweet potato dip) and Sofia made lentil bruschetta bites with roasted tomatoes…

Danielle made baked broccoli quinioa balls…

Jenny made spinach balls…

I made peanut sesame hummus from Eat, Drink & Be Vegan…

… and brought a box of Mary’s Gone Crackers for dipping (this was my first time trying these guys, but I can already feel an addiction coming on).

Megan made dark chocolate peanut butter cups for a sweet ending to the meal.

It was a night that combined three of my favorite things: ladies’ night (or “girl talk” if I can call it that), food, and a cozy night in. It was the perfect prelude to the weekend.

I love safari style jackets! I am so happy that it’s finally light jacket weather now – I was getting SO SICK of my bulky winter coat.
Those shorts are an investment but I’m sure they’ll prove to be a worthy one. For now, all I’m ready to do is lust after how perfect all of Lulumon’s gear is!

I love that jacket! Impressive potluck. I don’t think I would ever get an invite to one of your food gatherings, since I seem to make lots of meat casseroles topped with extra meat. (I’m trying, really I am, to eat better…) Is your run this weekend? If so, good luck and have fun!
hi katie !
gosh you are inspiring + so pretty.
i was just wondering if you have always had this wonderful relationship with food ? your eats seem so balanced, and you don’t fear having dessert every night + you have an amazing body !just wanted to say that you are such an amazing role model for everyone who reads your blog.
also i used to be the visual merchandiser for lulu in canada! so i have so much yoga + running gear.
