For some people, winter is the season when their skin completely rebels: the cold weather outside and dry heat indoors makes for a dry and flaky epidermis! Unfortunately for others, that dry skin lasts all year long. Heat, humidity, air conditioning and winter winds… it’s all always been a problem for my legs. Since I can remember (and as anyone who’s been in the same room with me can attest), I’ve woken myself up by scratching the heck out of them.
But today… enough was enough! I decided to make my very own, exfoliating body scrub using ingredients I already had at home. Sure, I probably should have done it before sundress season started, but better late than never, right? I’ll spare you the images of my itchy legs, but they felt like heaven after my shower.
Four Ingredient Sugar Scrub
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
First, combine the two sugars.
Add the vanilla…
… and the oil. Transfer to a storage container. It should be smelling pretty good by now!
The scrub is technically edible, but I wouldn’t recommend it
