A few weeks ago, I received an extremely generous package from Premier Organics, the company that makes the coveted Artisana nut butters.

They now make portable, single-serving squeeze packets of all of their flavors! So if you’re like me and want to try out everything before making a commitment or you eat on the go a lot, these are perfect.

I was most excited to try the Coconut Butter, which I’ve been dying to try. All you have to do is heat it up a bit until it reaches a slightly liquid consistency. You can throw the whole jar (lid removed) in the microwave and it gets the job done perfectly. Be careful, though, and heat it at 15-20 second increments. I made the mistake of putting the jar in for 60 seconds, and it scorched.
There was a time when I confused coconut butter with coconut oil, but they are quite different beasts (although both delicious)!

Coconut butter is sweet and creamy, and topped on Spiced Date-Nut Banana Bread, sweet potatoes, and just about anything else you can imagine.

And, of course, oats! It makes a nice little “coconut icing” that gives your food a fabulously rich flavor.
Perfect Oatmeal with cinnamon, stevia, salt, banana, Artisana coconut butter and Artisana cashew butter
For a limited time, when you buy a 16 oz. jar of Coconut Butter, you also get sample packets of Artisana’s coconut, cashew, and almond butters, too! Click here to check out the deal.

The possibilities for how to use the other nut butters were endless, and I loved that the variety encouraged me to get my creative juices flowing!
Thanksgiving oats? Why not!
Perfect Oatmeal with pumpkin, lemon curd, pumpkin butter, cinnamon and Artisana pecan butter
Perfect Oatmeal with cinnamon, stevia, salt, and Artisana macadamia nut butter
Greek yogurt with granola, banana, and Artisana Cacao Bliss
Ezekiel English muffin: 1/2 with Artisana almond butter, 1/2 banana and cinnamon; 1/2 with Artisana cashini butter and lavender honey
Remember the cashini butter?

It’s fabulous. I wish OpenSky would sell it so you could all try it! It’s sweet, tangy, high in calcium and addictive properties
So fabulous, in fact, that I decided I finally needed to use it in a recipe because repeatedly digging into the jar with my spoon just isn’t so ladylike.
Cashini Roasted Tempeh

- 1 T Artisana cashini butter, or 1 t cashew butter + 2 t tahini
- 2 T low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 T honey, agave or maple syrup
- 1 block tempeh, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
Preheat oven to 400 and coat baking sheet with cooking spray. Whisk cashini butter, soy sauce and honey in a small bowl until smooth.

One at a time, coat tempeh cubes in sauce and carefully transfer to baking sheet.

Bake for 20 minutes, flipping once. Meanwhile, take this opportunity to do something productive, like shower, pet your imaginary pug, or work on those abs you’ve been neglecting.

Don’t be alarmed if your home smells like baking cookies, because your tempeh will taste just as good.
Thank you again, Artisana! I’ll be happily working my way through the stash for a while
What’s your favorite food right now, and how do you eat it?

Yummm. Honestly, I’m in a food rut right now. But I know what would pull me out of it: CHILI!
What an excellent nut butter haul!
I don’t think I could choose just one favorite food right now, but a few of my favorite meals have to be pumpkin protein oatmeal, broiled tempeh, huge spinach salads, and refried beans! Oh, and nut butter sammies are a given ; )
Not gonna lie, my discovery of coconut butter was kinda life-changing. Glad you liked it!

Hey Sugar! I made pumpkin butter today, and it turned out excellent! We put it on apple-spice waffles for dinner. Talk about taste explosion.
It’s super easy if you wanna make it ever:
16-ish oz. pumpkin puree
a cup o’ sugar (I did half sugar, half agave nectar)
6 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
3/4 cup apple juice
Just mix it up really well, bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to simmer for about 35 minutes
Favorite food right now = walnuts. I eat ‘em as is (out of the shell, of course)
I lovvvve artisana’s products!! So much great stuff!
I have a serious breakfast planned in the morning, you’ve given me total motivation!
P.S. I really want those mini packs of the nut butters I can eat (i.e. not the almond one)
They are right to name their products “bliss!” Totally amazing. There are few things better than coconut butter. So much so that I rarely use mine in an effort to conserve it, but then I often forget I have it in the first place and then I feel dumb. lol
Oh my goodness I have never had coconut butter! Scary good looking though.
MMMMM I am getting a sample packet of these things soon! I am SO Excited!
Oh my gosh, those all look amazing! Coconut butter? NOM. I have to say my favorite food(s) right now are figs and Greek yogurt. Together, they are a perfect and delicious match
Their coconut butter is SO AMAZING. I keep mine in the fridge so that it’s super hard and I can’t just eat it from the jar…at $16 bucks a pop I need that sucker to last!!
My favorite foods right now are probably guacamole and chocolate. Always chocolate
