Hello, Sunday! How’s your weekend going? Mine’s been pretty good so far! Productive, relaxing, social. It’s been a little while since I’ve written a post for the Five Things For Sunday series, so here’s what I’m loving today!
I’ve run six times this week. Six! Most of them were two milers, but each morning when I wake up, I’m excited to run. I don’t want to jinx myself into not feeling it anymore, but for the time being, I’m loving it. The heart-pounding, music-listening, drippy-sweat exhilaration of all of it. And the dork hat is back.

This lip stain. I’ve never been a lipstick girl (although I’d like to be, for the chicness of it all) but this keeps my lips nice and moisturized and adds a nice pop of color that’s summery and fun. (I also see Tarte’s now made a limited edition True Blood stain, which I may have to track down.)
Going to the library feels like highway robbery. The other day, after finishing my book, I went to see if the book I’d requested had arrived. Well, it had… and a whole slew of other books I’d never heard of. So those had to go home with me, too. Doesn’t it blow your mind that you can get whatever book you want… for free?! I’m so grateful for the time I’ve had to read whatever I want this summer… I feel like I’m 12 again.

I forgot how much I love cereal. Four days out of the week I bring my breakfast to work, so I usually pack yogurt or overnight oats for portability’s sake. But cereal? So delicious and refreshing! While I was in Michigan, I ate a mixture of Kashi GoLean, mixed salted nuts, fruit + almond milk every day for breakfast. And I amy or may not have had a similar concoction (with a little yogurt mixed in) last night for dinner.

Ditto bulked-up pancakes. Today after my run I was in the mood for something a little special (it is Sunday, after all!), so I made Katie’s Choco-holic/ Red Velvet Pancakes. I substituted rolled oats for the oat bran, and topped the cakes with vanilla yogurt + banana. So good! If I hadn’t run out of banana, I would have whipped up a second batch.

What are five things for your Sunday?

I love the NYPL. It always feels like Christmas when I get the email notifications about books waiting for me. My five things for Sunday are:
A gorgeous morning walk
Open windows
99 cent iced tea from Dunkin’ Donuts
Working on a writing project I’m excited about
A sparkling wine tasting with my mom and sister

Good job on running 6 times this week! I’m still having to work on even getting out there three times a week. It’s just so dang hot and the gym seems soooo much more appealing in that case.
holy crap! i think the only time i ran 6x a week was in 2008 when i trained for a half marathon, i’m lucky if i run 1x every weeks these days haha. i love tarte products! my 5 things:
1. diy sandbags with pea gravel
2. green lipped mussels
3. sundresses
4. thai food x2

Wow, your pancakes are beautiful beautiful beautiful!!! And you rock for all your running spirit! I dunno that I could go six days in a row. Some mornings, I’m just too lazy and don’t want to leave the comfort of my house… or my pjs!
Happy Sunday! Oh, and your dork hat is TOO cute!

My 5 things:
1. getting up early to run- I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've done this in my life (I'm an evening or late morning exerciser) but if I want to make a run happen on days with 100 degree highs, early AM it is.

A perfect list. And you could never be dorky.
For those who do not know Katie in real life, you must trust me that she is stunningly beautiful.
Yay for running! I have a “dork” hat too! I recently caved and bought a white mesh one at a running store. It does the trick! The first time I put it on, my boyfriend said, “Oh my god, you look like your mom”. Which is true! She always wears hats when she is outside. I’ll take it as a compliment!
