1. For an instant bite of summer, make this sandwich. Even if you don’t have all of the right ingredients (I used tomatillos, yellow cucumbers and squash instead of heirloom tomatoes and omitted the capers) it’ll be delicious. I do want to go back and make it again with the right stuff, though.

2. Montréal is a beautiful city. Not a whole lot of photos to show for it, but Old Montréal at night is a site to be seen.

3. Lululemon offers complimentary hemming! Sweet deal, made even sweeter when you’re debating whether to purchase a heavily discounted pair of “Tall” pants.

4. For a sip of summer, try California Teas. Mixed with pure cane sugar instead of corn syrup or artificial sweeteners, they’re sweet but not too sweet. The company sent me seven teas to try; my favorites were the Summer Peach and Original Sunshine flavors.

5. Somehow, “I’m growing out my bangs” translated into “cut ‘em short and straight!” at the hair salon. I tried out a new place that takes walk-in clients, and somehow ended up with this hair. I don’t really care, I just thought I was done with this ‘do back in 2009. Whatevs.

That sandwich looks heavenly. PS- I love your bangs. You look so good with bangs.
i like the bangs! we need a date soon and i’m so jealous of your montreal trip! i haven’t been to canada in forever but i would love to put my francais to use!
I think you look fab with bangs, but that’s ridiculous that she misheard you.
1) I can’t stop watching Sons of Anarchy on Netflix.
2) I wish I owned a dog.
3) Online dating sucks.
4) A spoonful of peanut butter was my dessert tonight.
5) We should do drinks soon!
Your hair looks great, but if they didn’t do what you asked you should have asked for a refund!!
isn’t Old Montreal so quaint? I always feel so European when I go up there.
your hair looks fabulous, but it IS so annoying when the stylist doesn’t get what you’re going for.

i need to make that sandwich! your hair is so classy and sleek!
I think your hair looks great, but its a pain when the stylist doesn’t give you what you asked for!
ahh! That is always so frustrating when you go in for hair stuff, and its just not quite what you want. I had a haircut that was a little too short a while ago, and it was a bummer that it took another 4 months or so to grow out to the length I actually wanted. OH well. You look great!
free hemming?! sweet! now i’m even more jealous that there is no lululemon in my area. lol.
hair salons make me so mad sometimes! i think the last time i went to one i was in high schooll…i just cut my own now! it still looks cute, though!
xo.
I love the yellow squash–just picked some up at the farmer’s market, then seasoned & grilled them. Your picture looked fabulous as well–mmmm!
i can’t help it – i LOVE blunt bangs. and i am sure i would love montreal and that sandwich and those teas if i had the chance
