I’m always on the lookout for healthy, portable snacks.

(Bonus if they don’t need to be refrigerated or make a mess.)
When The Good Bean reached out about their lines of roasted chickpeas and no-nut bars, I was in the middle of the ocean, wishing I’d packed more snacks. The company sounded so unique (nutrition bars made with chickpeas?!), and I knew I had to try them and share my findings with you.

Many of us have food allergies and sensitivities, and are working to find foods that don’t upset our stomachs or give us hives. I happened to be trying an elimination diet when The Good Bean products arrived, and while I “cheated” a little by having added sugar and not sticking to the “food combining” rules, they didn’t upset my stomach at all.
Each serving of roasted chickpeas or nutrition bar has:
-as much fiber as 2 cups of broccoli
-as much protein as an egg
-as much folate as 3 cups of spinach
-40-60% less fat than most fruit-and-nut bars
-gluten free
-dairy free
AND… they just happen to be delicious. They were also perfect for helping to stave off the hanger on a recent trip to Trader Joe’s. (Don’t EVER shop when you’re hungry!)

The Good Bean would like one of YOU to try out their goods, too! Just leave a comment telling me about your favorite fridge-free snack. (I’m a student now, and need all the help I can get!) For extra entries, Tweet the giveaway and/or share it on your Facebook. Easy peasy!
I’ll pick a winner on Wednesday, February 20. Good luck! And happy Sunday

I love Clif Bars – Mojo Mountain Mix being my favorite. I also like making my own trail mixes with pretzels, Annie’s Honey Bunny Grahams, and chocolate chips.
My go to snack at work is oriental rice cracker trail mix with wasabi peas! Such a delicious and spicy afternoon pick me up!
100% my go to fridge free snack is a banana and pb!
I love filling a small jar with dark chocolate chips and peanuts. Totally my go to snack.

I LOVE a little bit of white miso slathered on a rice cake! YUM!
Actually I’ve roasted my own chick peas in the oven some so I would love to try these snacks. A little olive oil and then seasonings of your choice (I use Tony Chachere), bake at 350 until chickpeas are crunchy.
